Polkawagen is an all-season, traveling German-Czech-American polka band delivering a mix of authentic Bavarian, German, Bohemian, Czech, Polish, Slovenian, and USA folk songs, polkas, waltzes, marches, and novelty tunes with a unique blend of traditional and modern sounds. As a husband-and-wife multi-instrumentalist duo that sounds like a 5+-member group, Polkawagen is available for music performances year-round.

Parked just outside of Nashville on top of the Tennessee Highland Rim, Polkawagen will transport its best polka party music to your city/town celebrations, festivals, gatherings, and Oktoberfest-themed events throughout the Southeast and lower Midwest United States.

The Music

Polkawagen will deliver the perfect polka music package to your door, customized for your specific entertainment needs, with special attention given to the number of attendees, age group, venue size, and volume requirements.

In tow — a stockpile of folk instrumental classics like Auf der Autobahn, Böhmischer Traum, Schneewalzer, and Trompetten Echo, Germanic folk song classics (sung in German) like Ach, Du Lieber Augustin, In Munchen Steht Ein Hofbräuhaus, and Liechtensteiner Polka, Slavic folk song classics (sung in Czech) like A Já Sám, Červená Růžičko, and Praha Polka, popular sing-along songs (sung in English) like Beer Barrel Polka, Do-Re-Mi, Happy Wanderer, In Heaven There Is No Beer, and Pennsylvania Polka, audience participation tunes such as Dance Little Bird (Chicken Dance), Das Esel Lied (The Donkey Song), Fliegerlied, and The Hokey Pokey, plus Munich Oktoberfest classics like Sweet Caroline, Take Me Home, Country Roads, and more — everyone is destined to have a good time!

The Party

Polkawagen always brings fun to parties for guests young and old with family-friendly comedy, entertainment, and their characteristic mixture of festive music!

To make the most of the celebration, we provide guests with a quick polka dance lesson, plus assist with Bavarian themed games such as Masskrugstemmen (stein holding contest), Hammerschlagen (hammer striking game), sausage-eating / pretzel-eating contest, Oktoberfest trivia competition, and other übergeschnappt Spiele (crazy games).

Whatever the event, Polkawagen is prepared to entertain anywhere from a small intimate party celebration in your home to a sizable outdoor Oktoberfest event.
